Explore Jig-Bee Flowers
Jig-Bee started in 2014 on a vacant lot in Philadelphia. In my first 8 years, Jig-Bee offered fresh flowers to floral designers through our organized collective of small-scale growers. We sold flowers to grocery stores, through subscription services (CSA), at pop-up events and within our very own American Street Flower Market. Lastly, we offered bulk flower and a la carte services for weddings and events. Jig-Bee Philadelphia wouldn't have been possible without an amazing group of employees who worked with us over the years.
In 2022, I took that 8 years of experience and moved the farm to Vermont in the search of a simpler life. Finding my way in Vermont took a good year or so to learn how to grow flowers in a colder climate and also how to downshift into a focus, specialized area. I’ve had to fight my natural tendency to DO ALL THE THINGS. With the goal of finding a focused niche, I settled on seed breeding and production and selling fresh flowers to wholesale distributors.
While our property is 8 acres, I intensively farm on about 1/2 acre. I create isolation distances for seed production by partnering and creating pollinator strips for our neighbors and other local farms. We offer about 50 different varieties/colors as fresh flowers and seed sales.
